I heart naps

This update is way overdue I know... we are now 9w5d. And I've been so tired, it's been hard to find the energy to finish this post.

 Well, last Friday the IPs and I were able to hear two sweet little heartbeats!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
They were so happy when they saw two little nuggets on the monitors... it was breathtaking to watch their faces. I was so mad that I didn't have my phone!!! I wanted to video their responses... but I failed! Lol.  I love getting to spend time with them, they are genuinely good humans and I'm so thankful God brought us together for this.

 I'm not super struck w nausea, but I do get it in waves. I'm thinking the hormones I'm still on is what is helping but I dunno... for sure no scientist in this. But I'll go w it. Hopefully I only have 1 more week of hormones and pills to take! :) My cravings have changed tho. They seem to change weekly... what I can remember from previous pregnancies is I loved salads and fruit in the first trimester. Ice cream shakes in the second trimester and key lime pie in the 3rd. Lol. Yes it's weird. But that's what I remember. I certainly have the salad and fruits down now.

 I try to nap any chance I can. I love naps. Truly. Sleeping is honestly my favorite past time. But when I get to nap, it's like a glorious moment in time. I just love them. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

 Hormones are a little more in check. I don't feel as crazy. Lol. But I do still get fired up easily so I'm purposing to not let things get to me and use rationality as much as possible.

 The cramping is slowing but i for sure feel like my belly is growing faster than ever. And I'm constantly looking for bigger jeans and shirts long enough to cover the pants clasps. It's a hilarious game each morning of "how to not look too fat yet stay comfortable". Don't be jealous. But I am wearing more and more maternity clothes and trying to hide it BC I honestly just look like I've gained a quite few pounds at this point.

 The IPs are so excited and I'm so excited for them. So far, this has been relatively amazing to see how the journey unfolds. I feel so supported from my family and the IPs and their family. They truly are gems.

 I do ask you pray for my family. I'm from Houston and Harvey has reeked havoc on some of my loved ones. Please keep all Texans in your payers. Thank you, friends.

Hello again, friends. Today's installment will be talking about what all I've done since having the twins. Lets discuss the hard stuff...

It's been a while since I've posted... and I'm sorry for that. I am so grateful for the boyfriend and all of my friends/family who have reached out and checked up on me to see how I'm doing.  First question I know you're all wondering... How are the babies!? They are doing amazingly! Their parents are ROCKSTARS!!!! The babies are the sweetest and best nuggets ever!!! I'm so blessed that the parents allow me to keep up with them and see their adorable faces. This was an important aspect for me when deciding to pair up with the parents and they are very sweet to check on me even when they're raising two newborns! Next most common question I get is how are my emotions. This, in my opinion, is the hardest part of the experience/process. I expected to have the emotional roller coaster but there were so many things I didn't expect. I have never been one to hide away from pointing out the elephant in the room... so let's just get into this, shall we...

Hi Friends! I know it has been WAY TOO LONG since I've updated you. I did exactly what I needed to do over the Holidays and that was rest and spend time with those I love. This was the first year I did not see my family in Texas. I do miss them so much, but it just wasn't safe for me to travel down there and due to the hurricane recovery, my family wasn't able to come up this way as they're still trying to finish getting their houses back together and find their new normal. But you can bet your rears I rested, napped, played with the kids, spent time with My Favorite and even was able to have a Christmas dinner and spend quality time with my IPs!  Well, when I went back to work last week, I started having contractions and started swelling pretty bad.
