Let the flutters begin!!!
This weekend, I was snuggling with a sweet fat cat known as Bash and he laid up on my belly. When he did, I could feel the slightest flutters from the babies!!! It was super exciting. I text the IPs and let them know our oranges were moving about their cabins nicely! They of course got excited, too. Probably within the month, the IPs will be able to feel them themselves!!! I can’t wait to see their faces...❤️
We are now 15 weeks!! 25 to go. It sounds like such a long time when I say it like that. But the truth is this time will pass so quickly and these boys will be here before we know it! They are now the size of naval oranges, about 4.5 inches long and supposedly actually look like baby humans, as opposed to fish or frogs or aliens. Ha!
I’ve felt so blessed lately that I’ve had so much support... from so many friends and readers who are following this story. I’ve also had lots of amazing things happening around me over the last couple months but my most favorite is how happy I’ve been and how well I’m treated. Having a person in my life is the best and most unexpected surprise for this process. Timing indeed is everything...
My girls are also all doing really well with band and school. They have their state marching competition coming up the weekend before Halloween!! 🎃 Mady loves to watch her sissy’s perform and becomes the Colorguard mascot. They are all still very excited about the twins and the IPs having this sweet family.
What’s going on now?

What’s going on now?
- The second trimester seems to be the easiest time. Thank God... bc my kids keep me so busy!
- The babies are definitely showing - wearing only maternity clothes now
- Nausea is at a minimum finally
- Energy is slow but sure to return
- I tire easily and wear out fast when doing stuff
- I tend to graze now all day more than actually eat meals
- I do have super sonic smell and hearing and I discovered I’m sensitive to touch as well - that’s been interesting to work through
- Headaches have been really bad. 🙁 and of course I can’t take anything but Tylenol
- My 16 week apt is next week, that one won’t be exciting but the 20 week apt will be!!!
Our Nathaniel was born at 20 1/2 weeks--and was perfect in every respect, except that his lungs were not elastic enough. He was 10 inches long and looked like my father (Bob and I both noticed that right off!) In 10 weeks you will be at the point I was when Amanda arrived. 0;-
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Diane! It does mean a lot to have people in our corner! :)
