Back on Track

Well, we are back on track now. I have had a lot of life changes over the last year but we are now back in business! 

 Last time I posted, I was matched with an amazing couple from up north. They are such sweet people but we just had some road blocks that made us have to part ways and it broke my heart... However, we both have to move forward on different avenues and I truly wish them success in their endeavors. They deserve to hold a sweet baby of their own. 

 After many changes, I'm now matched with a local couple in Memphis. I am so happy with our set up! I have known one of them for many years and they are such sweet souls. They're so excited about the process and as thrilled as I am that we've finally gotten started! I know they are going to make amazing parents and I cannot wait for the moment they get to hold their baby for the first time!!! And this is our end game goal!

 We finally got to start meds this week to get me prepped for implantation! I have had some really not fun procedures and some really benign procedures done so far and the meds have some funky side effects. LOL I've had some nausea and because of the changes in my hormones some weirdness but it's all really minor. So Far... :) 

 Every time I see them, my heart skips a beat. I just keep picturing how much we're all going to cry when we see a positive pregnancy test. Or hear the heart beat for the first time. or see little Peanut on that monitor... of the first time they get to feel Peanut kick!!!! My heart leaps when I think about these things!!! I can't wait for them to get to experience this. 

 So... that's where we are right now. My heart is filled with joy. I go back to the Dr. Monday to see how we're progressing. It's such an exciting process!!!

Hello again, friends. Today's installment will be talking about what all I've done since having the twins. I've had lots of positive feedback from my last blog and I want to thank all of you for your continued support, love and feedback.  In my last post, I talked about the emotional ups and downs I experienced but there has been so much more to tell you! Lets discuss the hard stuff...

It's been a while since I've posted... and I'm sorry for that. I am so grateful for the boyfriend and all of my friends/family who have reached out and checked up on me to see how I'm doing.  First question I know you're all wondering... How are the babies!? They are doing amazingly! Their parents are ROCKSTARS!!!! The babies are the sweetest and best nuggets ever!!! I'm so blessed that the parents allow me to keep up with them and see their adorable faces. This was an important aspect for me when deciding to pair up with the parents and they are very sweet to check on me even when they're raising two newborns! Next most common question I get is how are my emotions. This, in my opinion, is the hardest part of the experience/process. I expected to have the emotional roller coaster but there were so many things I didn't expect. I have never been one to hide away from pointing out the elephant in the room... so let's just get into this, shall we...

a world of change

Hi Friends! I know it has been WAY TOO LONG since I've updated you. I did exactly what I needed to do over the Holidays and that was rest and spend time with those I love. This was the first year I did not see my family in Texas. I do miss them so much, but it just wasn't safe for me to travel down there and due to the hurricane recovery, my family wasn't able to come up this way as they're still trying to finish getting their houses back together and find their new normal. But you can bet your rears I rested, napped, played with the kids, spent time with My Favorite and even was able to have a Christmas dinner and spend quality time with my IPs!  Well, when I went back to work last week, I started having contractions and started swelling pretty bad.
